How and why does a hosting company go green?
MomCart is committed to doing our part to reduce, reuse, and recycle. First, we started in the office by using halogen lightbulbs in all fixtures, printing only when necessary, using recycled paper, and recycling everything possible.
Next, we moved onto our services. If you are not aware already, currently the information technologies sector uses between 3 and 4 percent of all electricity available. By purchasing renewable energy credits (REC's), we are able to provide hosting and domain services while offsetting the environmental effects by using wind energy.
